Analyst, Middle Office Trade Management, Derivatives Operations

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to one day per week from home

Base salary: $69,500–$118,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers. Employees may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate, book, check, and validate portfolio transactions, settlements, reconciliations, transfers, and related books and records.
• Support derivative, private placement, discretionary mutual fund, alternative, and other complex product trades across the full trade lifecycle.
• Investigate cash breaks, trade breaks, exceptions, and reconciliation issues, taking corrective action and escalating complex matters.
• Partner with investment teams, securities operations, relationship managers, custodians, vendors, and outsourced providers.
• Guide less experienced colleagues on process execution, error prevention, and operational controls.
• Drive process improvements, automation, new-product testing, account transitions, and operational reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of total relevant work experience.
• Experience or knowledge in derivatives, trade management, middle office, or securities operations is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, analytical, communication, prioritization, and judgment skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision and manage a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

• Experience identifying process gaps and reducing operational risk.
