LPN Sr (Oncology)

What you will do

• Provide general nursing care for oncology patients and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Prepare patients, equipment, examination rooms, and treatment areas for physician visits and procedures.
• Record vital signs, assessments, allergies, medication changes, test results, and patient reactions to treatment.
• Collect blood and other specimens, perform EKG and oximetry readings, and process laboratory procedures as needed.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and hospital admissions; coordinate follow-up records, results, authorizations, and prescriptions.
• Maintain patient files, care plans, consent documentation, and room disinfection protocols while supporting medical assistants and schedulers.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing school and hold a current LPN license and registration in the practicing state.
• At least five years of practical nursing experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to perform extensive standing and walking, handle and lift patients, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
