Finance Director (Music Entertainment)

What you will do

• Lead monthly close, financial commentary, performance analysis, balance sheet reviews and royalty statement reconciliations.
• Manage inventory accounting, stock movements, intercompany activity, forecasts, annual business plans and financial reporting packages.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, modelling and deal analysis for artist partnerships and business units.
• Develop quantitative recommendations to grow revenue and improve margins and profitability.
• Lead financial systems and data integration projects for new and acquired entities, including requirements, workflows and reporting.
• Oversee royalty reporting, VAT and indirect tax compliance, statutory reporting and external audits across the UK and European territories.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant or equivalent professional qualification.
• Progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and deal analysis.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling tools, financial software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Hyperion.
• Knowledge of tax compliance, royalty management, risk management and financial controls.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
