Payroll DS Manager

Location: Hybrid role based in Taguig, Philippines or Bogota, Colombia

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end payroll delivery for assigned countries, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing.
• Oversee payroll controls, approvals, reconciliations, accounting entries, statutory remittances, documentation, and payroll calendars.
• Support internal, external, and regulatory audits and serve as the escalation point for complex payroll issues.
• Manage third-party payroll vendors against service levels, operational metrics, and contractual obligations.
• Lead a matrixed team, including hiring, performance management, coaching, career development, succession planning, and resource allocation.
• Drive payroll projects, system implementations, process standardization, automation, simplification, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in payroll, HR, and/or finance operations.
• At least 3 years of experience in management or people leadership.
• Strong experience managing multi-country payroll operations, controls, compliance, audits, and statutory requirements.
• Experience leading teams through change in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with knowledge management systems and compliance requirements such as SOX and business controls.
• Certification in payroll, project management, analytics, Lean Six Sigma, or Design Thinking.
