Treasury Director, Investments & Liquidity

Location: Remote-friendly with travel required; staff are expected to work from one of the company offices at least 25% of the time. Role is based in San Francisco, United States.

Annual salary: $230,000–$300,000 USD

What you will do

• Own and optimize the external investment program across money market funds, bank deposits, and separately managed accounts.
• Monitor external manager performance and maintain clear performance reporting.
• Design and build an in-house investment program, including direct fixed-income trading, trade infrastructure, and custodian connectivity.
• Develop a capital planning framework covering operating and strategic liquidity tiers.
• Maintain the investment policy statement, Treasury policies, and SOX-ready investment controls.
• Build AI-native portfolio analytics, monitoring, forecasting, and CFO-ready reporting in partnership with Finance, Engineering, Data, and FinSys.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in corporate cash investment strategy gained in Treasury, corporate finance, or fixed-income portfolio management.
• Experience with an in-house investment program and direct fixed-income trading.
• Hands-on experience with separately managed accounts, investment policy design, capital allocation frameworks, and external manager oversight.
• Experience developing Treasury policies and implementing SOX-ready controls.
• Operational readiness at scale and accountability for large, time-sensitive cash movements.
• Familiarity with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and relevant exemptions; a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a high-growth technology environment or standing up in-house trading capabilities.
• Experience with order management systems, custodian connectivity, cash forecasting, investment laddering, FX or derivatives trading.
• CFA charter.
