Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Semiconductor)

Location: Ipoh, Malaysia; onsite, with no remote work available

What you will do

• Lead, motivate, mentor, and develop offshore Test Engineers and subcontractors in Malaysia.
• Manage end-to-end test operations, including new product introduction, continuous improvement projects, and test program debugging.
• Optimize yield and cycle times while achieving budget and annual cost-saving goals.
• Coordinate with supply chain, hardware engineering, and external vendors to forecast capacity and analyze test requirements.
• Manage test hardware procurement and establish structured communication and reporting for stakeholders.
• Conduct risk and problem analyses and present regular performance reports to management.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors in Malaysia.
• Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Strong organization, prioritization, communication, conflict-resolution, and resource-allocation skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Basic programming knowledge of Teradyne Flex, Advantest V93K, Teradyne J750, ASL1K, V50, or other semiconductor test platforms; knowledge of one or two platforms is required, while broader platform experience is a plus.
