Senior Engineer (Applied AI / ML)

What you will do

• Facilitate client discovery workshops and identify, prioritize, and scope high-value AI opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into product requirements, technical specifications, and measurable prompt and evaluation criteria.
• Build working AI prototypes in 2–3 week cycles and evolve successful concepts into production-ready systems.
• Design single- and multi-agent systems with tool use, control loops, state management, planning, structured outputs, and failure recovery.
• Develop retrieval, grounding, RAG, semantic and hybrid search capabilities and integrate AI with enterprise APIs, data platforms, and workflows.
• Build evaluation, observability, safety, guardrail, and reliability frameworks for production AI systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering or technical product engineering experience.
• 1+ year building and deploying Generative AI or LLM applications in production.
• Expert Python proficiency and strong software engineering fundamentals across frontend, backend, APIs, data infrastructure, and cloud deployment.
• Experience with REST, WebSockets, MCP, streaming APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Deep expertise in retrieval systems, including embeddings, hybrid retrieval, metadata filtering, reranking, agentic search, and retrieval quality evaluation.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.

Nice to have

• Experience in consultant delivery pods, client innovation labs, or large-scale enterprise AI/ML environments.
• Experience with Media & Entertainment, digital media supply chains, enterprise content automation, or multimodal media.
• Experience with LoRA/PEFT, dataset preparation, training pipelines, and model adaptation.
• Experience with Cursor, Codex, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code for rapid prototyping.
