Product Information Specialist

Location: Portage, Michigan, United States; normal office environment with occasional travel to vendors or training sessions.

What you will do

• Establish and maintain product data governance procedures and workflows.
• Improve product data quality and attribute completeness to support customer experience.
• Analyze product, pricing, inventory, category, and vendor performance data for Marketing, E-Commerce, Pricing, Operations, and Sales.
• Create and maintain vendor dashboards and provide category insights for vendor strategies.
• Use cross-reference tables and vendor data to streamline product sourcing and substitutions.
• Analyze cost changes, inventory breadth and depth, data updates, and vendor incentive programs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in electrical sales, data analysis, product data management, category management support, merchandising analytics, supply chain analytics, or related business analytics.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and experience with analysis or reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, documentation, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to sit for 8 hours per day and perform duties in a normal office environment.

Nice to have

• Electrical or pipe, valve, and fitting product knowledge.
• Experience with PIM systems or the Epicor Eclipse ERP System.
• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI or other data visualization applications, and experience working with AI.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, business, computer science, or a related field.
