Anti-Financial Crime Expert (Fintech)

Location: Office-based in Berlin or Munich, Germany. International relocation support is provided if required; an opportunity to work from abroad is also mentioned.

What you will do

• Review transaction monitoring alerts and conduct thorough case investigations.
• Identify patterns indicating money laundering, terrorist financing, and other suspicious activities.
• Document investigation findings accurately and prepare cases for reporting.
• Apply compliance requirements and industry best practices to operational AML/AFC work.
• Prioritize workflows and complete investigative activities on time.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in an operational AML/AFC role or a related banking or financial-sector department.
• Strong transaction monitoring and suspicious-activity investigation skills.
• Excellent case documentation and risk-based decision-making abilities.
• Fluent English and German with excellent communication skills in both languages.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, diligence, and the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Experience in a similar position within a neobank or digital banking environment.
