Senior Solution Architect (Media & Entertainment)

Location: New York, NY or anywhere in the USA; hybrid work with onsite client attendance and travel required when project needs demand it.

Salary: $80,000–$400,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead architectural design and technical strategy for complex broadcast, OTT, and digital media implementations.
• Translate business requirements into end-to-end media workflows and technical architectures.
• Design integrations across MAM, PAM, playout automation, transcoding, encoding, and cloud storage systems.
• Advise media clients on digital transformation, cloud migration, and legacy technology modernization.
• Evaluate platforms and technologies, and review architecture documentation, data flows, and interface specifications.
• Guide delivery teams and vendors while contributing to RFP responses, client pitches, and solution estimations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in media systems architecture, solutions engineering, or consulting within Media & Entertainment.
• Expertise in broadcast workflows, including playout, signal chains, live production, and newsroom integration.
• Knowledge of media formats, codecs, file-based and live workflows, metadata management, versioning, and delivery.
• Experience with MAM/PAM, playout automation, transcoding, workflow orchestration, streaming, OTT, DRM, CDNs, and cloud platforms.
• Experience designing hybrid-cloud or cloud-native media pipelines, especially with AWS or Azure.
• Strong client-facing communication, presentation, workflow modeling, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with broadcasters, studios, large media platforms, NRCS, studio automation, or live control rooms.
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional or another relevant cloud certification.
• Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD experience in media workflows.
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in media, including auto-tagging, QC, or speech-to-text.
