Director, Controllership & Treasury (Financial Services)

Estimated compensation: $150,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead controllership activities, quarter-end and annual close, financial reporting, and consolidations across multiple legal entities.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda and evaluate accounting implications for investments, restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, and treasury activities.
• Oversee treasury operations, banking relationships, payment approvals, cash positioning, liquidity management, funding, capital calls, distributions, and intercompany cash movements.
• Act as an escalation point for complex accounts payable issues and improve payment workflows and operational controls.
• Own Microsoft Dynamics Finance processes related to treasury, accounts payable, and controllership, identifying automation opportunities.
• Lead, coach, and train finance team members while driving process improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

• CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred, with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 8–15+ years of progressive experience in treasury, controllership, accounting, or finance.
• Experience in asset management, private credit, or financial services is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work at hirify.global Place in Toronto, Ontario.
