Sr Claims Analyst (Life & Disability)

Location: Work From Home (HB)

Compensation: $18.07–$33.92; annual incentive bonus plan also applies.

What you will do

• Accurately adjudicate and process medical, dental, vision, life, and disability claims.
• Investigate claim information and make life and disability benefit determinations according to policy provisions and applicable laws.
• Calculate benefit payments and communicate decisions on new and continuing claims.
• Prepare related correspondence and respond to electronic inquiries from assigned groups.
• Support claim units, vendor staff, and internal departments while advising team members on claim processing procedures.
• Provide responsive customer service and resolve complex claim situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three years of medical claim processing experience; life and/or disability claim administration experience is also required for the Life & Disability track.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, decision-making, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to interpret plan documents and Summary Plan Descriptions and work effectively in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with employees, members, providers, clients, and colleagues.
• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Access experience is preferred.

Nice to have
