What you will do

  • Maintain assigned domestic and international trademark, patent, and inter-partes docket portfolios, including complex and high-visibility matters.
  • Read, sort, distribute, and accurately docket documents received from the USPTO, foreign government agencies, and foreign associates.
  • Monitor daily docket clearance, workflow, filing logs, deadlines, and the electronic global docket calendar.
  • Maintain docket databases, reports, client and legal documents in PATTSY, and electronic files through the IP Management System and iManage integration.
  • Respond to complex docket-related questions and collaborate with IP attorneys, staff, clients, and Docket team members while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Lead audits and mass data updates, including US pair inconsistency, bibliographic, PTO formalities, and mass bibliographic data audits.

Requirements

  • At least five years of progressive intellectual property docketing experience focused on trademarks.
  • Strong experience with domestic and foreign trademark and TTAB matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of US and international trademark law and its application to docket actions.
  • Strong knowledge of docketing software, excellent proofreading skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze complex data issues, identify audit discrepancies, manage high volumes with accuracy, and work under pressure.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree or specialized training such as paralegal studies is beneficial.
