What you will do

  • Review incoming Intellectual Property correspondence and determine deadlines, reminder dates, and required docketing actions.
  • Create, update, annotate, and verify records in the electronic docketing database.
  • Maintain patent and trademark prosecution deadlines according to correspondence and applicable country-law requirements.
  • Verify case status using the USPTO and foreign patent and trademark office platforms.
  • Process deadline notifications, prepare standard and custom docket reports, and support attorneys and staff.
  • Assist with client and attorney intakes, transfers, docket slips, and special projects.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience with Intellectual Property deadline docketing.
  • Experience with electronic docketing software.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent and trademark prosecution lifecycles, including Nonprovisional, Provisional, PCT, and Madrid Protocol matters.
  • Ability to independently determine priority dates, calculate due dates, and verify database terms.
  • Familiarity with USPTO, WIPO, and EPO platforms, as well as Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other office software.
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, time management, and collaboration skills required.

  • Trademark docketing experience.
  • Knowledge of PATTSY.
  • College degree.
