TL;DR
Data Scientist (Machine Learning): Developing end-to-end analytical solutions for Toyota Financial Services through data preparation, predictive and prescriptive modeling, and production deployment in a cloud environment with an accent on Python, SQL, statistical methods, and machine learning. Focus on solving complex business questions, translating analytical results into executive recommendations, and building robust, scalable models for production use.
Location: Plano, Texas, United States. Relocation assistance may be available if applicable.

What you will do
- Define, prioritize, and solve high-impact business questions with team members and business stakeholders.
- Extract, transform, and prepare data from diverse sources using SQL and Python.
- Develop predictive and prescriptive models using statistical and machine learning methods.
- Create visualizations and executive-level presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Transition analytical models from development to production in the cloud environment.
- Contribute to strategic project planning and apply emerging data science methodologies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant analytical discipline.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience applying statistical and machine learning techniques to complex business problems.
- Professional experience developing and optimizing analytical solutions with Python.
- Experience with statistical or machine learning frameworks such as statsmodels, scikit-learn, or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of logistic regression, time series analysis, GLMs, mixed modeling, multivariate statistics, decision trees, gradient-boosted trees, random forests, and neural networks.
- Must have the right to work in the United States without Toyota immigration support or sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- PhD in a quantitative or technical discipline.
- Experience with GitHub, CI/CD, AWS SageMaker, or Azure ML.
- Experience leading cross-departmental projects and modernizing legacy infrastructure.
