Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

What you will do

• Define, prioritize, and solve high-impact business questions with team members and business stakeholders.
• Extract, transform, and prepare data from diverse sources using SQL and Python for advanced analysis and model development at scale.
• Design and develop predictive and prescriptive models using statistical and machine learning methods.
• Create visualizations and executive-level presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead the transition of models from development to production within the cloud ecosystem, ensuring robust, scalable, and operationally effective solutions.
• Contribute to project planning and prioritization while applying emerging analytical tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant analytical discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience applying statistical and machine learning techniques to complex business problems.
• Demonstrated experience developing and optimizing analytical solutions with Python.
• Hands-on experience with statistical or machine learning frameworks such as statsmodels, scikit-learn, or PyTorch.
• Working knowledge of logistic regression, time series analysis, GLMs, mixed modeling, multivariate statistics, decision trees, gradient-boosted trees, random forests, and neural networks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improvement and innovation.

Nice to have

• PhD in a quantitative or technical discipline such as computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, mathematics, or operations research.
• Experience with GitHub, version control, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with cloud-based machine learning platforms such as AWS SageMaker or Azure ML.
• Ability to lead through influence across complex cross-departmental projects.
• Experience replacing or bridging legacy infrastructure and processes.
• Data Science experience outside a degree-seeking program.
