Data Engineer Consultant (AI)

What you will do

• Design and operate cloud architectures across GCP, AWS, and Azure, including storage, compute, cost optimization, access management, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Containerize and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including clusters adapted to data science workloads.
• Develop Python server-side tools such as bulk data-processing services, REST APIs, authentication, and supporting applications.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and support deployment of data science projects at client sites.
• Build ETL scripts and data pipelines in Big Data environments.
• Implement infrastructure and services for machine-learning model development and delivery.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with a strong quantitative component, such as econometrics, physics, mathematics, statistics, or quantitative finance.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in data, DevOps, cloud, or software engineering.
• Good Python skills, experience with a SQL database such as PostgreSQL, and familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience or strong interest in cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD automation, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, Git, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
• Experience with application security, including certificate management, HTTPS, OAuth2, and credential management.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Dutch are required. Non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted.

Nice to have

• Experience combining multiple services within a cloud project.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or the GitLab CE ecosystem.
