Sr. Manager, Authorizations (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Manage daily prior authorization operations and lead the authorization team.
• Hire, onboard, and manage the performance of team members while maintaining a staffing model aligned with demand.
• Set service delivery expectations for authorization vendor partners and coordinate with practice staff and operational leadership.
• Develop and maintain workflows for obtaining authorizations, managing denials, and handling escalations.
• Align clinical and authorization workflows and partner with the accounts receivable team on denial root-cause analysis.
• Track operational and revenue cycle metrics, identify inefficiencies, and drive corrective actions to reduce revenue leakage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management operations and 3+ years leading teams.
• Deep understanding of prior authorization processes and payer medical necessity guidelines.
• Experience leading global teams and vendor partners.
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare compliance.
• Experience with workflow optimization, system implementation, cross-functional collaboration, and operational metrics analysis.
