Project / Field Engineer (Construction)

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana, United States; initially assigned to a large data center project near Alexandria with travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away.

Estimated pay: $64,000–$96,000 per year.

What you will do

• Review, interpret, and coordinate building plans, specifications, shop drawings, and architectural supplements.
• Work with Project Managers and Superintendents to resolve field construction problems and discrepancies.
• Prepare project reports, schedules, analyses, risk assessments, scope matrices, and progress updates.
• Analyze and coordinate project progress, costs, budgets, cash flow, purchase requests, change orders, and owner-supplied materials.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, trade supervisors, suppliers, clients, and internal project staff.
• Support bid packages, estimates, punch lists, payment requests, safety programs, and quality management compliance.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand building plans, specifications, safety standards, and construction issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Prolog.
• Current or ability to become current with OSHA 10 and company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel to project sites, work in varying and sometimes extreme climate conditions, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, integrity, and precision-focused skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in design, estimating, or field supervision.
