What you will do

  • Conduct accurate and timely quality-control reviews of US and non-US statutory patent docketing entries.
  • Maintain assigned patent docket portfolios and ensure the docket database is accurate and complete.
  • Review USPTO and foreign patent documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Manage incoming data quality for transferring portfolios and support attorney teams during the transfer process.
  • Create and implement training materials, policies, and procedures for the IP Docket team.
  • Provide guidance, reports, and deadline information to IP attorneys, staff, and clients while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Minimum eight years of progressive intellectual property experience supporting docketing quality control.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • Strong understanding of domestic and foreign patent matters and statutory requirements.
  • Experience with docket software applications.
  • Excellent proofreading, communication, analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work independently under pressure while handling high volumes of information.

  • Paralegal studies or equivalent specialized training or certification.
