In-Service Program Manager (ISPM) (Avionics)

Location: Grand Rapids, MI, United States; on-site during first-shift hours.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end lifecycle performance for assigned avionics products from Entry-Into-Service through Full-Rate Production, maturity, and end-of-life.
• Lead cross-functional Integrated Product Teams, execution cadences, program reviews, issue resolution, and escalations.
• Manage customer interfaces, performance reviews, scorecards, returns, warranty drivers, and contractual communications.
• Govern sustaining projects including obsolescence redesigns, value engineering, cost reduction, test improvements, reliability fixes, and product yield initiatives.
• Lead readiness and gate activities, including LRIP execution, FRP decisions, change control, baseline management, and lifecycle documentation.
• Drive return-to-green plans, corrective actions, kaizen events, Lean improvements, and EOL business cases with customer, supplier, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• Program or project management experience leading cross-functional teams through execution, production, and sustainment phases.
• Knowledge of earned value concepts and/or integrated master scheduling principles.
• Financial and business acumen with experience managing Sales, EBITDA, and Cash objectives.
• Experience with customer interfaces, contractual or program communications, production readiness, manufacturing operations, supply chain execution, and quality systems.
• Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies to improve program performance and business effectiveness.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
• Understanding of AS9100 and FAA requirements and regulations.
• Formal Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma training.
• Experience implementing process automation and applying AI tools in manufacturing.
