Focus on solving complex customer assay questions, presenting scientific seminars, supporting evaluations in customer laboratories, and traveling to provide applications expertise.

Location: Remote within the United States, based in Pennsylvania; candidates outside Pennsylvania must be willing to relocate before starting

Salary: $74,500–$122,575 per year, plus eligibility for a commission plan

What you will do

  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for Simple Plex Ella and Luminex platforms.
  • Advise customers on assay design, planning, platform correlation, bridging, data interpretation, troubleshooting, optimization, and validation.
  • Present scientific seminars, product demonstrations, technical training, and evaluations at prospect and customer sites.
  • Support customers in laboratories, virtually, by phone, and by email, including instrument, assay, and software training.
  • Attend scientific meetings, conferences, tradeshows, and vendor shows while providing feedback to sales, marketing, product management, product development, and software teams.
  • Maintain customer support information in Salesforce and contribute to technical literature and training resources.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Pennsylvania or willing to relocate there before the start date.
  • BS/BA degree in biochemistry, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, biology, or a related life science field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on immunoassay experience.
  • Strong understanding of immunoassay principles, protein analysis, life science methods, and current scientific literature.
  • Ability to independently conduct assay and reagent troubleshooting, optimization, and validation experiments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, training, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills; ability to travel 50% of the time.

Nice to have

  • MS or PhD in a relevant life science field.
  • Previous Field Applications Scientist or technical support experience.
  • Experience training and teaching scientists.
