Accountant II

Location: Remote within the United States; hiring is limited to AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, OR, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, or UT.

What you will do

• Analyze financial information and prepare timely financial reports and statements.
• Manage the flow of capital assets from warehouse inventory through work in progress to capitalization of in-service assets.
• Compile and review GAAP-compliant journal entries and support period-end close activities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and provide reliable financial information for business decisions.
• Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance, and complete special projects and financial analyses.
• Monitor accounting, reporting, and disclosure standards from the FASB, SEC, and PCAOB and assess their impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• At least one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting processes, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, planning, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from one of the listed U.S. states.

Nice to have

• Experience in public or corporate accounting.
• Experience with process improvement activities.
• Proficiency with Oracle Fusion.
