TL;DR
Accountant Lead - Financial Close and Consolidation (Financial Close/Consolidation): Preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheets, income statements, intercompany accounts, consolidations, reconciliations, audit support, and SOX compliance with an accent on GAAP reporting, internal controls, and financial analysis. Focus on resolving complex accounting issues, coordinating audit information requests, collaborating with IT on system enhancements, and leading month-end close activities.
Location: Irving, Texas, United States — flexible hybrid schedule

What you will do
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheets and income statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Monitor monthly consolidations and balance intercompany accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
- Coordinate information requests for internal and external audits.
- Support SOX compliance, segregation of duties, documentation, and financial reporting controls.
- Research accounting matters, collaborate with IT on system issues and enhancements, and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent qualification.
- 4+ years of experience in financial services or a related field preferred.
- Strong technical research, writing, verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently, resolve challenging issues, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a flexible hybrid schedule in Irving, Texas.
Nice to have
- CPA certification or candidacy.
- Public accounting experience with a national or large regional firm.
- MBA or master’s degree in accounting.
- Oracle General Ledger, OneStream Financial Reporting, and consolidation experience.
