Sr .Net Software Engineer (Hybrid- Owings Mills, MD)

Location: Hybrid in Owings Mills, Maryland, with up to three days per week from home. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $121,000–$206,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers; other published ranges apply to Washington, D.C., New York, and California.

What you will do

• Lead software delivery across design, development, deployment, and production support.
• Build scalable cloud-native web applications for cash management, currency exposure hedging, foreign exchange trading, cash forecasting, reporting, and notifications.
• Design APIs, software abstractions, containerized microservices, and integrations with third-party vendors and investment data warehouses.
• Drive engineering practices including Agile development, CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing, pairing, refactoring, and technical debt management.
• Solve complex business and technical problems while partnering with business stakeholders to translate needs into technology solutions.
• Lead small project teams when needed and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field, plus 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong experience with .NET and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Node.
• In-depth experience with relational databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience designing APIs, cloud-native architectures, containerized microservices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Linux, and scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, programming paradigms, debugging large-scale applications, and Agile collaboration.
• US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship is required; FINRA licensing is not required and will not be supported.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of full-stack development experience and experience with .NET Core.
• Experience deploying containerized applications to AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
• FinTech technologies such as OpenFin, Finsemble, or Symphony.
• TDD, BDD, investment industry experience, or AWS Solutions Architect/Developer certification.
