Funds Ratings - Associate / Associate Director (London)

hirify.global is a credit rating agency that researches and assigns ratings to debt instruments issued by funds, closed-end funds, and other investment vehicles.

What you will do

• Conduct credit research on funds, closed-end funds, and related investment vehicles.
• Develop rating and analytical tools, including cash flow and asset coverage models for fund debt structures.
• Prepare and present quantitative and qualitative credit memos and publications.
• Participate in diligence meetings with fund management teams to assess investment expertise, risk management, and strategy execution.
• Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases while collaborating with specialists across project finance, corporate finance, financial institutions, and structured finance.
• At Associate Director level, independently lead credit ratings processes and research for transactions involving investment funds and related vehicles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, or another field demonstrating strong analytical skills.
• Four to eight years of experience as a credit analyst; experience in fund lending, investing, or structured finance is advantageous.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to build cash flow models.
• Strong analytical, communication, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines in a challenging, dynamic, and fast-growing environment.
• Proficiency in SQL and VBA is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Progress toward the CFA qualification.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and productivity.
