Business Data Analyst

What you will do

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams on highly visible Agile software projects.
• Define and document business and data requirements, including source-to-target designs.
• Refine backlogs and user stories, using Jira where applicable.
• Communicate requirements to ETL, BI, and QA engineering teams.
• Validate source data and analyze business needs against existing data structures and strategies.
• Participate in testing, project meetings, and collaboration with internal business partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in computer science, business, engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
• 3+ years of experience reading logical and physical data models and working in Agile software development environments.
• 4+ years of experience writing SQL queries.
• Understanding of data models, data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and relational databases.
• Clear written and spoken communication, strong organization, and collaborative teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL and big data concepts such as Hadoop.
• Familiarity with XML schema design, SOA, and canonical model design.
• Experience with Jira.
