Corporate Accountant

Location: Brisbane, Australia; initial parental leave contract.

What you will do

• Prepare and process month-end accounting activities, including accruals, prepayments, payroll, banking, and cost reallocations.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support accounting and monthly financial reporting for joint venture entities.
• Prepare and lodge indirect tax and statutory reporting obligations, including BAS, Payroll Tax, TPAR, and FBT-related reports.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements and liaise with advisors and global finance teams.
• Support broader finance initiatives across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is required.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate, professional services, or commercial environment.
• Experience with month-end journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Exposure to indirect tax compliance, statutory reporting, audits, and external advisors.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and financial systems skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and able to manage competing deadlines.

Nice to have

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience working across multiple entities, regions, or jurisdictions.
