Focus on investigating reconciling items, supporting BAS and FBT compliance, improving reporting processes, and developing commercial finance capability.

What you will do
- Prepare month-end and year-end accounting activities, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, reporting schedules, and variance analysis.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and resolve issues with Finance and Shared Service Centre teams.
- Support statutory, tax, compliance, audit, external reporting, and head office submission activities, including BAS and FBT.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, monthly performance reviews, financial queries, and ad hoc analysis.
- Provide accounting support across revenue, costs, leases, fixed assets, working capital, and intercompany transactions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, and improve reporting quality.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Some practical accounting experience, ideally in a commercial, professional services, or multi-entity environment.
- Experience with month-end activities such as journals, accruals, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial reporting.
- Developing analytical skills, strong attention to detail, integrity, organisation, and clear communication.
- Ability to collaborate with Finance and non-finance stakeholders in a deadline-driven environment.
- Intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems.
Nice to have
- Studying toward, or intending to commence, a CA or CPA qualification.
- SAP experience.
