USMC Radar Field Technician (Radar Systems)

What you will do

• Provide direct technical support and subject-matter expertise to the Government In-Service Engineering Agent for USMC land-based radars.
• Support Marines with system setup, operation, refresher training, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Support development, testing, analysis, and field implementation of system upgrades, replacements, modifications, and software baselines.
• Review requirements and technical documentation, support configuration management, and evaluate Engineering Change Proposals.
• Support test and evaluation of AN/UPX-44 IFFI and AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR capabilities, documenting results and recommendations.
• Provide engineering task and project management support for the Radar Engineering Team and USMC system fielding.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Experience operating and maintaining ground-based air defense radar systems such as MRADR, AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of radar theory, target acquisition, and electronic warfare principles.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuitry, RF systems, and mechanical components used in radar platforms.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and troubleshooting guides.
• Ability to work in Virginia Beach and travel 20–40%.

Nice to have

• Prior USMC or DoD radar systems experience and formal technical training or certifications.
• Experience with USMC air defense systems, MACCS operations, AD/SR, ATC, or ground weapons locating radar.
• CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Electronics Technician certification.
• Knowledge of IAMD, layered air defense, sensor integration, Link 16, CEC, JREAP, tactical data systems, and C2 integration.
• Experience with CAC2S, TAOM, or other C2 platforms interfacing with radar systems.
