Bilingual Assurance Supervisor - Public Sector (Location Flexible - Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal)

Location: Toronto; candidates located in Ontario or Quebec preferred. The role requires consistent onsite presence during core business hours, regular reporting to a firm office, work at client sites, and approximately 25% travel.

Compensation range: $67,500–$107,500 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate audits of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
• Lead engagements from planning through completion while applying hirify.global’s audit methodology.
• Prepare financial statements, disclosures, and reportable conditions letters with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Supervise Audit Associates and Seniors, monitor fieldwork productivity, and manage engagement schedules.
• Communicate with clients, address concerns, escalate issues, and identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Identify accounting and auditing matters for Managers and Partners and support ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another discipline from an accredited university.
• Active CPA license or demonstrated progress toward CPA licensure in the province of residence.
• At least 4 years of recent assurance experience in a public accounting environment.
• Bilingual English and French communication skills are required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, CASs, or other relevant accounting and auditing standards.
• Experience leading audit engagements, reviewing workpapers, testing controls, coaching staff, managing client expectations, and coordinating multiple priorities.
