QA Engineer II (Java)

What you will do

• Collaborate with product owners, requirements engineers, and subject matter experts to understand insurance platform functionality.
• Develop testing plans and understand the operational processes supported by the software.
• Create and maintain automated UI and API tests covering accuracy, performance, and load requirements.
• Implement quality gates for thorough testing before deployment releases.
• Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and improve test coverage.
• Track emerging technologies and Generative AI developments to improve testing efficiency.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java and automation testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, Postman, and Rest Assured.
• Experience with performance test automation using JMeter, Performance Center, or comparable frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of UI and API testing methodologies.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and develop effective testing strategies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and testing integration with automated deployment processes.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance or financial services.
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience with test data management strategies.
• Understanding of security testing principles.
