What you will do
- Perform diagnostic PET imaging procedures, including radiopharmaceutical and IV contrast injections, oral contrast administration, protocol setup, patient positioning, image reconstruction, and filming.
- Transfer, archive, retrieve, print, track, and log patient imaging data and films.
- Conduct daily quality control checks, monitor scanner performance, and report equipment malfunctions or service needs.
- Verify patient demographics, distribute reports, maintain patient files, and support clinical data collection.
- Assist with scheduling, front-office workflow, ordering supplies, and patient follow-up processes.
- Apply radiation and patient safety standards and respond appropriately to potential IV contrast reactions.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an AMA-accredited program, with PET training where applicable.
- CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable.
- Level 1: three to five years of nuclear medicine experience or previous PET experience preferred.
- Level 2: at least five years of nuclear medicine experience, including two years of PET or nuclear medical experience.
- Senior level: bachelor's degree and at least four years of nuclear medical PET experience.
- General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems, with the ability to perform physically demanding patient-positioning duties.
