New York City Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Consultant - 2027

Location: New York City, United States. Hybrid work combining in-person work in local hirify.global offices and client sites with remote work; local or out-of-state travel may be required.

Salary: $80,000–$92,000 annually, plus a $2,000 bonus target.

What you will do

• Assess business and technology risks, analyze data, document observations, and communicate actionable insights.
• Support internal audit engagements involving risk and control frameworks, regulatory compliance, governance, and audit methodology.
• Work with clients to improve business processes, monitor and test controls, and enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Advise on technology risks and opportunities across cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, cloud, privacy, software development, resilience, and technology governance.
• Collaborate with project teams and client personnel while managing assignments, priorities, and delivery responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, computer science, data science, engineering, finance, information systems, information technology, management information systems, or a related field.
• Authorization to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Proficiency in applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks, including Microsoft Copilot or generative AI tools.
• Advanced verbal and written communication, critical thinking, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of internal audit processes, frameworks, audit objectives, and emerging technologies.
• Technical proficiency in the assigned capability area, including data visualization tools such as Power BI and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Entry-level knowledge of software development practices and methodologies.
• Interest in advanced analytics and automation tools such as Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, or Python.
• Progress toward professional certifications.
