Legal Engineer (Legal AI)

Location: Hybrid role in Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands; at least eight days per month in the office

hirify.global’s Legal & Regulatory Division is developing Libra, an AI platform that helps legal and compliance professionals research, draft, and deliver legal work more efficiently.

What you will do

• Design, configure, and test AI-powered legal workflows and Libra Assistants with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Work directly with law firms and corporate legal departments to understand use cases, map processes, and implement tailored solutions.
• Translate legal expertise into structured data, prompts, and workflows that produce accurate and legally robust outputs.
• Support customer pilots and proof-of-concepts using real legal documents, templates, and research workflows.
• Advise clients on best practices for AI-assisted legal work and create learning materials for the Libra Academy.
• Share product feedback to improve prompt quality, accuracy, domain coverage, and roadmap priorities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Dutch law.
• At least three years of experience in private practice at a large law firm or specialised boutique, or in an in-house legal role.
• Professional experience with technology, legal AI, or legal innovation, supported by practical skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, client-facing, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, iterative, and cross-functional environments with a builder mindset.
• Advanced or fluent Dutch and professional English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in product management or automation projects.
• Familiarity with SaaS environments and agile methodologies.
