Head of Physical Security & Safety - USDS

Location: Los Angeles, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $128,440–$255,360 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Define strategy, governance, policies, standards, and performance metrics for physical safety, workforce protection, and business resiliency.
• Lead 24/7 security operations covering physical security, executive protection, crisis management, emergency response, travel security, event security, and contract security personnel.
• Design an integrated security program connecting physical security, technical security, cyber investigations, campus monitoring, access control, and threat detection.
• Oversee workplace safety, workplace violence prevention, business continuity, crisis management, and response to business-impacting emergencies.
• Partner with Legal, HR, Facilities, and Privacy teams and act as liaison to local, state, and federal law-enforcement and counter-intelligence agencies.
• Manage budgets, vendors, project milestones, and a global team while leading investigations and briefing the Board of Directors and senior leadership.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in physical security, law enforcement, military service, or a combination thereof.
• At least 5 years of experience managing team strategy, physical security and safety professionals, and operational performance.
• Global corporate security experience, including support for senior executives.
• Demonstrated experience with physical security technology, guard force management, executive protection, and investigations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal, strategic, tactical, and leadership skills.
• Must be able to work on-site in Los Angeles, with a schedule of up to 5 days per week in person.

Nice to have

• BA or BS in criminal justice, homeland security, emergency management, business administration, organizational leadership, or a related field.
• Membership in ASIS, InfraGard, or another physical security professional group.
• Proficiency with task and project management, visitor management, and case management software.
