Chief, Security, HWAD (DoD Security)

Salary: $67,200–$100,800 hourly pay range

What you will do

• Administer industrial and physical security programs for Hawthorne Army Depot.
• Develop security policies, goals, budget inputs, plans, manuals, standing operating procedures, guard orders, and Depot Protection Plan materials.
• Maintain key-control, badging, classified-information, and security documentation systems.
• Coordinate investigations and reporting for accidents, disturbances, discrepancies, and security incidents.
• Liaise with law enforcement and security stakeholders to support site protection and response readiness.
• Supervise assigned Security staff, including work direction, coaching, performance input, and staffing recommendations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related security experience.
• At least 4 years of security operations experience, including DoD facility security experience, and at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Facility Security Officer certification required or must be obtained and maintained.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license and PILB registration or license required or must be obtained and maintained.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or naturalized citizen and able to secure and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate complex information in English; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicable security systems.
