Quantum Algorithm Scientist

What you will do

• Match classical problems to relevant quantum algorithms and modify algorithms as needed.
• Perform logical resource estimation to inform quantum hardware requirements.
• Develop perspectives on the requirements for achieving quantum advantage.
• Tailor quantum algorithms for near-term hardware.
• Design experiments for benchmarking and error characterization of near-term hardware.

Requirements

• Experience developing and modifying quantum algorithms.
• Experience matching classical problems to known quantum algorithms.
• Working knowledge of benchmarking procedures, simulation, and modelling.
• PhD or equivalent experience, plus 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development and research.
• Published research results, excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.
• Experience working and negotiating with customers and partners.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of quantum error correction.
• Experience with Qiskit or Stim.
• Proficiency in Python.
