Internal Control Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Warsaw or Poznań, Poland; hybrid model with two days per week in the office

What you will do

• Conduct ongoing internal control testing and identify gaps, irregularities, and improvement opportunities.
• Design and map control mechanisms across business processes.
• Develop recommendations and monitor their implementation after control testing, inspections, and audits.
• Prepare and update internal control policies and procedures.
• Support colleagues in understanding internal controls and assist with internal audits and follow-up on findings.
• Review horizontal testing results and provide additional recommendations where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law, administration, finance, management, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in internal control, internal audit, external audit, risk management, or compliance.
• Strong understanding of internal control systems, preferably in a payment institution or another regulated environment.
• Knowledge of KNF recommendations relating to internal control systems.
• Fluency in Polish and English for professional communication.
• Very good MS Office skills, strong analytical and organisational abilities, attention to detail, and confidence communicating recommendations.
