Software Engineer 2 (Python/PySpark/AWS)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Support daily software engineering responsibilities on projects with similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Develop software using Python and PySpark.
• Build and maintain solutions with AWS Lambda, AWS Glue jobs, and DynamoDB.
• Deliver reliable solutions in support of government missions and continuously improve developed systems.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Fourteen years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; four years of comparable software engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• Professional experience with Python, PySpark, and AWS services, including Lambda, Glue jobs, and DynamoDB.
