Research Finance Specialist

What you will do

• Perform accounting functions for the Research Department, including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, billing, and payment posting.
• Build and maintain clinical research studies in the Signal Path Clinical Trial Management System, including study information, contract terms, budgets, visits, and billable elements.
• Review protocols, budgets, amendments, clinical trial agreements, patient visits, procedures, and statuses for billing and contract accuracy.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies with research sites, payers, sponsors, and CROs.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting data, reconcile expenses and payments, manage collections, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Perform internal audits and study close-out reconciliations to ensure research revenue is accurately captured.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years of applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience working with a Clinical Trial Management System; Signal Path experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical billing review, contract interpretation, clinical research billing compliance, and accounting principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
