What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a QA engineering team while fostering a collaborative and psychologically safe environment.
- Define the QA roadmap, quarterly OKRs, priorities, and project plans in alignment with engineering and business objectives.
- Track quality, test coverage, test gaps, and productivity metrics to identify and drive improvements.
- Improve test framework architecture, automation, coverage, and testing strategies using DevOps best practices.
- Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to shift testing earlier in the development lifecycle and improve testability, maintainability, and code health.
- Manage team capacity, staffing, workloads, tools, and priorities to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Software Engineer in Test, QA Engineer, or similar technical testing professional combined with people-management experience.
- Experience leading and developing QA or test engineering teams, including coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Strong experience with UI and API test automation using Cypress, Selenium, WireMock, JMeter, or equivalent tools.
- Experience defining and implementing test automation strategies aligned with DevOps and modern software development practices.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or GCP, and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate effectively while managing remote teams.
