TL;DR
QA and Release Manager (CPQ): Owning quality and release lifecycle across CPQ product and client implementations with an accent on strategy, governance, and team enablement in fast-paced CI/CD environment. Focus on planning and leading major client version upgrades, hands-on UAT/production deployments, and driving AI adoption in QA processes.
Location: Eastern Europe (Remote), overlap with UK/Europe distributed teams. Shift work including weekends required.

What you will do
- Define QA & Release strategy, standards, metrics, and tooling; lead hiring, coaching, and performance reviews for distributed team.
- Own release lifecycle, cadence, branching, hotfixes, and sign-offs across product and client streams; enforce ITIL processes and SLA adherence.
- Plan and execute major client version upgrades including roadmaps, cutovers, rollbacks, and post-upgrade validation; coordinate cross-functional dependencies.
- Perform hands-on UAT/production deployments, client requirement gathering, and test plan authoring as needed.
- Act as client-facing escalation point; represent QA in senior communications and planning.
- Drive automation strategy, AI/Xray adoption, risk management, and continuous improvement through metrics and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- 7+ years in software testing/QA including SaaS; 3+ years in QA/Release Manager role leading distributed teams
- Proven experience leading major enterprise client version upgrades across UAT/Production with roadmaps, cutovers, and validation
- Hands-on with UAT/production deployments, client test plans, release management end-to-end, Git branching, CI/CD (TeamCity/Octopus/Bitbucket)
- Automated testing (Cypress/Playwright/Selenium), API testing, SQL; Jira/Confluence/Xray; ITIL, Agile/DevOps
- Technical background (.NET/C# preferred), AI tools experience, client-facing communications, risk management, and quality improvements
- Degree/certifications (CS/Engineering; ITIL/ISTQB preferred)

- CPQ, quote-to-cash, or enterprise integrations (Salesforce/Dynamics/SAP/ERP)
- .NET/C#/React ecosystem; ITIL v4/ISTQB Advanced
- Infrastructure/middleware upgrades in releases
