TL;DR
Project Officer (Humanitarian Programs) (Protection, Health, Nutrition and WASH): Coordinating and supporting humanitarian and development programmes in Vanuatu across project implementation, monitoring, reporting and partner engagement with an accent on multisectoral, community-centred programming. Focus on adapting activities to community needs, analysing programme data, strengthening local partnerships and meeting donor requirements.

Location: Port Vila, Vanuatu, with travel to the islands

hirify.global is an Israel-based non-governmental organization supporting communities affected by humanitarian crises through emergency response, recovery and long-term development programmes.

What you will do

  • Support implementation and coordination of programmes in protection, health and nutrition, WASH and related sectors.
  • Coordinate daily activities with project teams, partners, communities, logistics, finance and technical advisors.
  • Monitor progress, collect and analyse programme data, maintain project records and contribute to learning.
  • Prepare internal, project and donor reports, concept notes, proposals, budgets and supporting documentation.
  • Engage with local partners, communities, government stakeholders and coordination forums.
  • Support partner capacity strengthening, staff development, representation and practical solutions to implementation challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, WASH, nutrition, protection, psychosocial support, international development, humanitarian studies or a related field; relevant experience may substitute.
  • 3–5 years of experience in humanitarian response, development or community-based programming, preferably with an INGO or similar organization.
  • Experience supporting project implementation and coordination, monitoring, reporting, documentation and programme cycle management.
  • Experience working respectfully with local communities, partners and stakeholders, with strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong cultural awareness and understanding of the Vanuatu context, including relevant government priorities and programme sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bislama; strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
