TL;DR
Senior Director Lean Excellence (Manufacturing): Building and governing nVent’s enterprise Lean operating model across integrated supply chain and related functions with an accent on strategy deployment, management systems, capability development, and performance governance. Focus on designing tiered operating systems, coaching leaders through large-scale Lean transformations, and connecting operational performance to margin, cash, growth, productivity, quality, and customer delivery.

Location: St Louis Park, Minnesota, US; hybrid

Compensation range: $204,400–$304,000 annually, with potential eligibility for annual incentives.

What you will do

  • Own the enterprise Lean strategy, governance model, standards, deployment roadmap, and functional operating model.
  • Design and deploy an integrated supply chain management operating system linking strategy, execution, problem solving, and accountability.
  • Build Lean capability through training, coaching, certification, communities of practice, and career-path development.
  • Lead enterprise value-stream assessments, standardization, simplification, waste elimination, and performance turnarounds.
  • Embed Lean principles across planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, quality, engineering, EHS, digital, and support functions.
  • Advise the VP Operational Excellence and CSCO on Lean maturity, organizational health, performance, priorities, and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a comparable field.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, Lean, or operational excellence.
  • Experience building enterprise operating systems, Lean management systems, functional governance models, and performance dashboards.
  • Proven success leading large-scale Lean transformations in complex, global manufacturing environments.
  • Experience designing organizational structures, role charters, career paths, competency models, and capability-building programs.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience connecting operational performance with margin, cash, growth, and productivity outcomes.

  • MBA.
  • Lean Master Black Belt certification.
  • Expertise in Hoshin Kanri, Leader Standard Work, Daily Management Systems, Kaizen, and Value Stream Transformation.
