Offensive Security - Penetration Tester (Cybersecurity)

Location: Toronto, Canada

Compensation range: $62,000–$107,500 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Perform security assessments, including static and dynamic application security testing.
• Conduct manual penetration testing of web applications, network devices, and other systems.
• Assess security across cloud platforms and development technologies, and promote secure development and cloud security practices.
• Develop, enhance, and interpret security standards and guidance.
• Document findings, communicate them clearly to clients and senior management, and help develop remediation recommendations.
• Supervise staff and manage engagements while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Expert knowledge of web security vulnerabilities and the ability to identify and exploit them effectively.
• 3+ years of experience in code review, application security testing, or web application development.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Ruby, or Perl.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Experience with SAST and DAST tools and techniques, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• OSWA, OSWE, OSCP, Burp Suite Certified Practitioner, or AWS Certified Security Specialist certification.
