Accounting Specialist Sr

Location: Hybrid schedule in Irving, Texas; in-office Tuesday through Thursday

What you will do

• Prepare account reconciliations, investigate account balances and transactions, and resolve variances.
• Prepare journal entries and support timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Provide accounting support and customer service to branches.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Prepare and review documentation for quarterly SOX and controls testing.
• Support month-end close and related financial control projects and processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in accounting is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge and relevant work experience.
• Ability to follow accounting and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of controls.
• Ability to analyze, escalate, and resolve problems while managing multiple priorities and deliverables.

Nice to have

• Experience with escheatment processing or unclaimed property reporting.
