What you will do

• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, efficiency, reliability, throughput, and yield.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing operations, including process upsets and equipment-related issues.
• Develop and maintain PFDs, P&IDs, operating procedures, and process calculations.
• Support process scale-up, new product introductions, technology transfer, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead or support capital and process improvement projects, including equipment selection, installation, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and EHS teams on compliance, investigations, corrective actions, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3–5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, refining, petrochemical, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or related process manufacturing.
• Experience solving complex process and operational issues.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and EHS teams.

Nice to have

• 5–8 years of relevant process manufacturing experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification and OSHA Process Safety Management training.
• Knowledge of DCS and PLC platforms, SPC, root cause analysis, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma tools.
• Experience with process simulation, modeling, data analysis, and chemical process design.
• Understanding of heat transfer, fluid flow, reaction engineering, and mass transfer.
