Junior Architect (Cloud)

Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is only possible from within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do

• Enhance and evolve the physical and virtual networking layers of an OpenStack-based public cloud platform.
• Improve platform architecture while incorporating IT security requirements.
• Design and develop platform and software-as-a-service features.
• Provide architectural guidance on OpenStack-based public cloud technology.
• Support architectural decisions with hands-on console work and infrastructure automation.
• Collaborate with a team of cloud and infrastructure specialists using agile ways of working.

Requirements

• Completed studies in a technical, engineering, or scientific subject, or comparable professional training.
• At least three years of professional IT experience focused on modern cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of software, cloud, and container architectures, infrastructure automation, Linux, system tools, and network-related services.
• Strong customer orientation, technical solution assessment skills, and creative problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge of agile development processes, plus mentoring and presentation skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; work must be performed within Hungary to meet taxation and data security requirements.

Nice to have

• OpenStack experience.
• Programming experience in open-source projects.
