Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Salary: $155,000–$190,000 annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Drive automated testing across APIs, user interfaces, and end-to-end customer journeys.
• Extend AI-assisted test-generation tooling and curate, validate, and maintain the generated coverage.
• Build scalable test frameworks and CI/CD infrastructure for order lifecycles, WebSocket market-data streams, and financial calculations.
• Define testability requirements and quality standards with product and engineering teams early in development.
• Own test-suite reliability by triaging failures, reducing flakiness, and making quality metrics trustworthy and visible.
• Mentor engineers and SDETs on automation, AI-assisted testing, performance, load, and resilience testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience focused on automation and framework development.
• Expert programming skills and production-quality test code in TypeScript.
• Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch; Playwright is preferred, with Cypress or Selenium also relevant.
• Strong API and real-time testing experience with RESTful services and WebSocket or streaming systems.
• Experience with React/TypeScript front ends, C#/.NET backend services, databases, and service architectures.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, strong full-stack debugging skills, and the ability to design balanced test strategies.

Nice to have

• Performance, load, and resilience testing experience.
• Familiarity with ArgoCD, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Experience testing trading, fintech, low-latency, or financially sensitive systems.
• Experience with contract or consumer-driven testing and observability-driven testing.
