TL;DR
Data Scientist - Strategic Analytics Team (Python): Designing analytical solutions and predictive models that transform large, complex datasets into actionable insights for business decision-making with an accent on statistical modeling, data integration, and machine learning. Focus on building modeling-ready data assets, tuning forecasting and risk models, automating solutions, and mentoring data science peers.
Location: Carlow, Ireland; hybrid work arrangement

What you will do
- Design and execute analytical solutions using optimization, simulation, data mining, and statistical methods.
- Integrate high-volume data from Snowflake, DB2, SQL Server, Web API, and Teradata.
- Apply validation, aggregation, and reconciliation techniques to build modeling-ready data frameworks.
- Construct and tune predictive models for explanation, forecasting, risk scoring, and clustering.
- Interpret results and communicate findings to managers and leadership to support business decisions.
- Automate solution integration into existing business processes and provide support, training, and mentorship to junior data science colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 4+ years of professional or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong experience with Python or R, complex SQL, statistical inference, regression, machine learning algorithms, feature selection, and model deployment.
- Expertise in at least two core data science areas, including programming, data visualization, statistical modeling, or data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Strong communication, prioritization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Experience in financial services and demonstrated ability to work with senior management and executive leadership.

- Experience with multiple data visualization tools and dynamic data visualization.
- Leadership, coaching, mentoring, change management, proof-of-concept, and prototyping experience.
